With this year's UrbanSAX competition vehicle, Fortis Saxonia is presenting, for the first time in its team history, an urban concept car that is purely geared towards the efficiency competition. Fortis Saxonia is therefore this year for the first time with UrbanSAX in the Urban Concept hydrogen category. Due to the increasing demands on the efficiency of the drive train and the targeted energy management in the entire vehicle in recent years, the development of a new, competitive vehicle was initiated in 2016. In addition to ergonomics and vehicle design, the main points of development were to make greater use of lightweight construction potential and to coordinate system efficiency more specifically with the requirements profile of the competition. The result is a hybrid that combines the development results of the earlier vehicles.
