§1 Name, seat, business year
The association is to be entered in the association register and is then called Fortis Saxonia. After the entry he uses the addition "eV" in the name of.
The association is based in Chemnitz.
The fiscal year is the calendar year.
§2 purpose of the association
The purpose of the association is the promotion of science, research and education, in particular the promotion of student, non-commercial, primarily engineering projects and the acquisition of practical experience in the field of engineering and related sciences. To this end, the association works on projects that are suitable for the implementation of the association's purpose, for example the development of vehicles for participation in energy-saving competitions.
The tasks associated with the realization of the purpose of the association include in particular:
Promotion of science, research and education through the practical handling of acquired knowledge and the exchange of experiences with people with similar interests. This task is realized through research and development work, for example through study and project work, internships and diploma theses, which are carried out by members of the association in cooperation with the TU Chemnitz and regional and national industry.
Promotion of science, research and education through the integration of special learning achievements (BELL) in the projects of the association and thereby the introduction of potential students of the natural and engineering sciences to them.
Increasing the awareness and reputation of the research region Chemnitz and Saxony through the presentation of the association's projects at exhibitions and trade fairs and through the publication of its own media.
Creation and maintenance of the organizational and technical prerequisites for processing the association's projects.
§3 non-profit status
As part of its activities in accordance with Section 2 of the Articles of Association, the association exclusively and directly pursues charitable purposes in the sense of the section "tax-privileged purposes" of the tax code (Sections 51 ff. AO). The association is selflessly active. It does not primarily pursue economic purposes.
The association's funds may only be used for statutory purposes. The members do not receive payments from the association. No person may be favored by expenses that are alien to the purpose of the association or by disproportionately high remuneration.
§4 members
Any natural person who has reached the age of 18 and who agrees to actively or materially support the purposes and goals of the association can become a member.
The board decides on the written application for membership. The rejection of the application for membership by the board does not require any justification and is final.
Membership ends with death, resignation or exclusion from the association.
The resignation takes place by means of a written declaration to the board of directors. Membership fees paid will not be reimbursed. The resignation can only take place at the end of a calendar month and must be communicated in writing to the board two weeks before the end of the month.
In the event of gross violations of the statutes, damage to the association's reputation or payment arrears despite two reminders, the general assembly can resolve to expel a member.
§5 membership fees
Membership fees are levied in accordance with the association's membership fee regulations. The membership fee regulations are decided by the general assembly.
§6 organs of the association
The organs of the association are the general assembly and the board.
§7 General Assembly
At least one general meeting takes place in the financial year. The board of directors is obliged to call an extraordinary general meeting if at least one third of the members request this in writing, stating reasons. The general meeting is called via the e-mail list ecocar@tu-chemnitz.de , in which all members of the Fortis Saxonia eV association are registered, by the board of directors within a period of one week in writing, stating the agenda as well as the location and Convoke time. The period begins on the day following the sending of the letter of invitation.
The general meeting is chaired by a board member. A secretary is to be elected at the beginning of the general meeting.
The general assembly passes resolutions with a simple majority of the members present, unless the statutes stipulate a different majority.
Resolutions of the general meeting are recorded. These minutes are to be signed by the chairman of the meeting and the secretary.
The tasks of the general assembly are:
The general assembly decides on amendments to the statutes with a two-thirds majority of the members present.
The general assembly receives the annual report and the audit report from the auditors.
The general assembly decides on the association budget.
The general assembly decides on the discharge of the board.
The general assembly elects the board for 1 year.
The general assembly decides on the exclusion of members.
§8 Board of Directors
The board consists of at least three members. Resolutions of the board of directors are passed with a simple majority and written minutes are made of this.
The board remains in office until a new board is elected.
The board is represented in and out of court by two members.
The tasks of the board are:
The board invites you to the general meeting one week in advance.
The board of directors manages the current business of the association.
The board of directors draws up the budget for the financial year.
If the entry in the register of associations or the recognition of the non-profit status by the responsible tax office contradicts certain contents of the articles of association, the board is entitled to carry out corresponding changes independently after a resolution by the general meeting.
§9 dissolution / discontinuation of the tax-privileged purpose
If the association is dissolved or if tax-privileged purposes cease to exist, the assets of the association go to the student body of Chemnitz University of Technology, which has to use them directly and exclusively for tax-privileged purposes.
§10 revision
The general assembly elects at least one auditor. The tasks are auditing the accounts and checking compliance with the association's resolutions.
§11 dissolution of the association
The association can only be dissolved in the general assembly with a two-thirds majority of the members present.
§12 entry into force
The statutes come into force when they are entered in the register of associations.

§1 contribution amount
The monthly membership fee is 2 euros.
§2 due date
The membership fee is due at the end of each year.
§3 entry into force
According to the resolution of the general meeting on November 23, 2005, these fee regulations come into force on January 1, 2006.
